πŸ† How to Win:

There are 28 matches in total, each worth one point. The first team to reach 14.5 points wins the Ryder Cup! If it's a 14-14 tie, the team that previously won gets to keep the cup.

The Format

  • Day 1 & 2: Foursomes (Alternate Shot)

Two players from each team play as partners, hitting alternate shots with the same ball. The team with the lower score wins the hole.

  • Day 1 & 2: Four-ball (Best Ball)

Two players from each team play their own ball. The lower score of the two partners is the team's score for that hole.

  • Day 3: Singles Matches

All 12 players from each team face off in one-on-one, head-to-head matches.

What's a "Grand Slam"?

Winning a "Grand Slam" is the ultimate achievement in golf! It means winning all four major championships (The Masters, PGA Championship, U.S. Open, and The Open) in the same calendar year. It is incredibly rare and has only been done once in men's professional golf, by the legendary Bobby Jones in 1930. Winning all four at any point in a career is called a "Career Grand Slam" - a huge honor!
